The Best of the Zambezi

Summer 2008

The cruise along the Zambezi River in Botswana provide unforgettable moments with the world’s largest land animals.

Once these majestic creatures reached the lush pastures, they let out joyous elation by spraying mud and water above their heads.

These feeding grounds were shared with other large mammals, such as the cantankerous and aggressive African Buffalo. Lucky for us, they seemed fairly complacent to sit in the pastures while bathing in the warm sunlight.

Nile Crocodiles also sat soaking in the sunlight, perfectly blending into the river’s marshy edges.

As our river cruise drew to a close, a spectacular orange sunset whispered us farewell as we departed the magical Zambezi River.
